BEHIND THE LENS

Iris Yang is an integrative researcher and creative marketer focused on the fashion industry. Born in Shanghai, Iris studied Strategic Design and Management and Fashion Communication at Parsons School of Design.

In 2017, Iris and her friend created a handmade jewelry brand, mon_Secret, attending NYFW in 2019 and collaborating with three buyer stores in New York, Shanghai, and Hangzhou. In 2019, Iris worked as a production assistant at PRJCT428 and helped produce the Summer/Spring show of designer brands Blancore and Luooif. In 2020, Iris served as a marketing assistant at Luxury Marketing Council, assisting with social media content planning and market research.

Iris Yang is also very interested in fashion styling and photography. She took charge of the styling for singer Jiayi Wang’s 2021 upcoming album and spent her spare time taking pictures of people, clothes, and scenery that resonated with her.

In the future, Iris Yang still desires to delve into the fashion marketing and communication industry. She is really into the design styles of different designer brands and hopes to help them share their works with the public. Iris plans to find opportunities in the independent designer brand marketing section in New York City in 2021.
